For years, I was security guard working long shifts for low pay, wondering what my future looked like. Working jobs that offered little advancement, limited benefits, and no clear path to a better life. Like many security guards, I thought my options were limited.
Everything changed when I took a position with a large defense corporation.
For the first time, I was exposed to a professional corporate security team. They were security specialists, analysts, investigators, managers, and executives building real careers with competitive salaries, excellent benefits, retirement plans, and opportunities for advancement.
I quickly realized there was an entire side of the security industry that most security guards never hear about. I started learning, building relationships, earned certifications, and studied how corporate security actually worked. Over the next five years, I climbed the ladder to a senior position earning over $150,000 per year.
